Our recycled rigid PU foam is produced using our proprietary, environmentally friendly technology, repurposing PU foam waste from production and packaging. Instead of an energy-intensive chemical process, we use a greener physical method, creating a product with nearly endless applications.

This material can be a valuable resource for the furniture and construction industries, insulation, road barriers, floating objects, or even design uses.

When we read about the Red Bull Soapbox Race, we knew we had to join.

A race? A challenge? Creativity? It seemed to be made for purman®.

The race involves building a gravity-powered vehicle that rolls downhill, with awards for speed, creativity, and a bit of craziness.

Our plan came together quickly. The chassis was made from the frame of an IglooDoors® cold room door, and the structure, the igloo itself, was crafted from purman® recycled rigid PU foam.

Excellent workability and lightweight structure

We made full use of purman® recycled rigid PU foam with excellent workability and lightweight structure. While we couldn’t utilize its insulation properties in the summer heat, it was no problem.

We knew the race was about fun and entertainment, and some vehicles wouldn’t make it to the finish line intact. So we skipped the planned reinforcements for the igloo.

Over two months of preparation, our entire company rallied together. Every team member contributed, from designing the steering to ordering plush penguins and selecting our entrance music.

When the Purman Team’s Igloo Mobile rolled onto the starting ramp, all our colleagues, with their families and children, lined the track to cheer us on.

Their support was needed, as the Igloo Mobile barely made it through the first corner, almost tipping over but managed to stay upright. We lost the top of the igloo in this adventure. After that, nothing could stop our bear-costumed driver and the vehicle, not the jumps, not the foam traps. We crossed the finish line successfully!

Huge achievement with an extra joy

It was a huge achievement for all of us, and we were already thrilled to have made it! The preparation brought our team closer, and we celebrated the Igloo Mobile’s success as one.

After the initial joy, we noticed our time was quite good, but the real surprise came when the jury’s points were added up, and the results were announced.

The winner of the Red Bull Soapbox Race: Purman Team!

We couldn’t believe it, but the joy was overwhelming, and we gained a lifetime memory.

Not to mention, we introduced the public to our purman® recycled rigid PU foam, which garnered significant interest even before the race started. Both the jury and the audience appreciated our innovative recycling technology.

We hope you encounter it soon, and remember, when you use purman® recycled rigid PU foam, you’re choosing a Red Bull race-winning technology.
